Any element —including color — that attached on top of the mineral buildup has the potential of being removed as well. To ensure successful removal of mineral buildup and therefore successful deposit of your color, we highly recommend you have an in-salon Crystal Gel Treatment or process a Color Prepare Wellness Remedy at home to ensure color is not being deposited on top of mineral buildup instead of on your hair.

Yes, you can still use all of the Malibu C products with a keratin treatment; however, we recommend not using a heat source at the time of using a Wellness Remedy as the combination of heat and the vitamin formulated in the Wellness Remedy could potentially break the bonds of the keratin. The Wellness Remedy processed without heat will not affect the keratin.
